Portfolio > Pig Blindness Memorial Project

Each day, at a slaughterhouse in North Carolina, 32,000 piglets (pigs are still babies when they reach their target weight due to growth hormones) are slaughtered. This number is remarkable and horrifying.

As a memorial to these sentient beings and the hundreds of thousands killed everyday across the country, I make a small sculpture each day.

My goal is to complete a thousand of them in 3 years. In order to complete 32,000 of them, it would take me 96 years.
